Yahoo accused of mismanaging Chinese fund

A lawsuit filed this week claims Yahoo mismanaged a $17 million fund in China.

The fund was set up almost a decade ago to help dissidents in China who were punished for posting their opinions online.

The complaint alleges Harry Wu, a now-deceased dissident from China, spent $13 million of the fund enriching himself and pursuing other projects related to his own interests. Only $700,000 of the fund has been doled out to Chinese dissidents who had been imprisoned, according to the suit.
