World's most expensive rough diamond sells for $63M

Canadian mining firm Lucara has sold a massive 813-carat diamond for $63 million, a new record for a rough gem.

The diamond - dubbed "The Constellation" - was found in November in a Botswana mine.

Dubai-based Nemesis International DMCC purchased it.

Next month, Lucara's "Lesedi la Rona" - the world's second-biggest diamond - will go up for auction. It's expected to sell for at least $70 million.
