While U.S. futures were flat on Wall Street, world stocks held near 16-month highs on Friday, set for a strong weekly gain, according to Reuters.
The MSCI World index .WORLD is up on track for a gain of 2.7 percent for the week, and European shares hit their highest level for 11 months, setting them up for their best week since February. Reuters said the increases come following the European Central Bank's decision to trim the size of its bond-buying program while also extending it for longer than many analysts had expected.
