Posted online
Bass Pro Shops tonight is hosting a workshop for families to learn skills needed to produce home videos of their outdoor adventures.

The free event, 6 p.m. at the gallery auditorium of Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World-Springfield, will cover the fundamentals of video production.

Ken Langguth, outdoor video producer for Bass Pro Shops, will teach basic audio, lighting, camera enhancements and accessories, equipment maintenance and trouble shooting. Techniques for filming hunts also will be discussed.

Participants are advised to bring a video camera.

Children 3 and older can forego the workshop and learn how to identify animal tracks at an Outdoor Kids Workshop.
