The program, “Community Resources for New Business Assistance,” is offered by the University of Missouri Extension’s Community Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Development Program, in cooperation with the 4-State Heartland and Economic Development Consortium.
The event is designed for economic developers, chambers of commerce representatives and regional planning representatives in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
“The goal of the workshop is to learn how you can quickly and easily develop business startup information, customized to your community or region,” said Tom Keohan, business development specialist with University of Missouri Extension, in a news release.
The workshop will be 9:30 a.m.–noon Dec. 8 at the Best Western Big Spring Lodge, 1810 Southern View Drive, in Neosho.
Attendees will receive compact discs containing templates that can be customized with individual logos and addresses, resource publications and helpful Web sites and organizations.
The templates include information on the federal, state and local requirements to start new businesses in Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. General information on local requirements is included, as well as contacts for business startup and development assistance.
Although the conference is free, registration is requested by Dec. 1.
Registration is available by calling (573) 882-5525.
