Worker killed in industrial accident at Loren Cook Co.

A worker at Loren Cook Co. died Wednesday in an on-site accident, according to the Springfield Police Department.

At about 1 p.m. Wednesday, the 59-year-old unidentified man was struck in the head by a piece of metal that came loose at his workstation, according to a news release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No additional details have been released.

Loren Cook Co., 2015 E. Dale St., manufactures industrial and commercial fans and blowers.[[In-content Ad]]
