The store is slated to open Oct. 23; construction began Aug. 28, according to a White House|Black Market spokesperson.
The 2,400-square-foot store will be part of the mall's multimillion-dollar renovation project that will add a number of east-facing lifestyle shops with exterior entrances.
White House|Black Market opened another southwest Missouri location at Branson Landing last month. The spokesperson said there’s no expectation that it will compete with the Springfield store.
White House|Black Market specializes in women’s clothing and accessories in white and black. It is a fully owned subsidiary of Fort Myers, Fla.-based Chico’s FAS Inc., which also operates a Chico’s store at Battlefield Mall.
