Wisconsin governor jumps into GOP presidential race

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker made it official Monday morning, announcing on Twitter he was running for president because "Americans deserve a leader who will fight and win for them."

USA Today reports the 47-year-old hopes to set himself apart as a Harley-riding, average American who is anchored by Midwest values and has proved himself as a fighter and winner.

The crowded field of Republican presidential candidates already includes over a half dozen current and former governors.
