Project description: Three years after opening Hotel Vandivort downtown, brothers John and Billy McQueary are adding a second boutique property adjacent to the first. With another 48 hotel rooms planned, the project would roughly double Vandivort’s maximum occupancy. It also features a fifth-story rooftop bar called The Vantage. The building is going up northwest of its current property, on the previous Vandivort parking lot at McDaniel Street and Robberson Avenue. BatesForum LLC is the project architect with Olsson providing civil engineering work.
Missouri State University’s science building, built in 1971 and formerly called Temple Hall, is being reconstructed and updated.
