Project description: A partnership by Cambium Apartment Homes LLC and Good Deal Development LLC is bringing a mixed-use development to the vacant land north of Thompson Sales Co. auto dealership. Earlier this year, City Council rezoned roughly 8.5 acres to permit multifamily, office and personal-service use. Sam M. Coryell of TLC Properties requested the rezoning. Coryell said Cambium will have 127 multifamily units and 9,000 square feet of office space. Project architect is H Design Group LLC and engineers are CJD Engineering LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and Anderson Engineering Inc., civil.
Under construction beside the existing Republic branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library District – which remains in operation throughout the project – is a new building that will double the size of the original, according to library officials.
