Winter 2010 A&E Profiles: Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc.

Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for Springfield-based Prime Trucking's campus in Pittston, Pa. Slone Architects Inc. designed the project, Archer Associates Inc. is the civil engineer, and Silverhill Engineering is the structural engineer. An existing campus structure will be renovated to house offices for managing trucking operations and a drivers' area with amenities including lounges, bunk rooms, a cafeteria, a workout area and a retail store. Buildings will be constructed for fueling and inspection, an automatic truck wash and a maintenance shop. Light fixtures will be upgraded in the existing buildings with more energy efficient fixtures. On-site fuel storage will be upgraded and HVAC in the existing building will be brought up to current energy efficiency standards. The estimated completion date is summer 2011.
