H Design Group is the architect for owner/developer DWM Properties LLC's redevelopment of a two-story historic structure on Commercial Street. Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer, and Pinnacle Design Consultants LLC is the structural and civil engineer. The first level will have multipurpose space for dance lessons, public events, banquets and weddings, which also can take advantage of an adjacent exterior courtyard. The upper level will be loft living space for the owners. The renovations will retain the existing structural masonry walls and natural wood floors in an open floor plan.
