Willard Public Schools has three finalists to replace its retiring superintendent, and two of them are locals.
The district’s hired executive recruitment firm, Omaha, Nebraska-based McPherson & Jacobson LLC, helped pull in 38 applicants, according to a news release.
The finalists before the Willard Board of Education are:
• Stewart Pratt, assistant superintendent for Willard Public Schools;
• Jason Anderson, executive director of elementary learning for Springfield Public Schools; and
• Matthew Teeter, superintendent of Smithton Public Schools in Smithton, Missouri.
The board plans to meet Jan. 20 to review the finalists after interviewing them this week. At that time or before their next meeting scheduled Jan. 26, the board members are expected to pick a successor to Kent Medlin, who’s retiring at the end of the school year.
