Wilbur Ross confirmed as Commerce secretary

The U.S. Senate yesterday confirmed billionaire investor Wilbur Ross as secretary of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

The vote was 72-27.

Ross faced less resistance than Steven Mnuchin, the Treasury secretary, and Andrew Puzder, who pulled his nomination to lead the Labor Department.
