WikiLeaks: CIA hacks TVs, phones around the world

A WikiLeaks publication of purported internal CIA documents on Tuesday claims the agency has adopted intrusive hacking techniques.

According to the documents, the CIA hid its hacking into high-tech phones and televisions by appearing to be hackers in Russia.

WikiLeaks also claims nearly all of the CIA's arsenal of privacy-crushing cyberweapons have been stolen. The documents claim the tools were stolen by "former U.S. government hackers and contractors... one of whom" gave the leaked documents to WikiLeaks.

CIA officials declined to say whether the documents were genuine.
