Why won't boomers become business owners?

They've got the skills, the confidence and support from a variety of established programs. And a lot of them could use the extra cash for retirement. So why are older workers hesitant to become entrepreneurs?
 
The Small Business Administration recently published research showing that workers ages 55 to 64 are more confident in their ability to be successful entrepreneurs but are less likely to start a business than younger workers, according to Bloomberg Businessweek.
 
Reasons for the reluctance could be attributed to banks' hesitance to finance older works and older workers choosing retirement over the hassle of starting over, according to researchers.
