The World Health Organization gave its seal of approval to the vaccine developed by AstraZeneca and the University of Oxford.
Officials said it's the "vaccine for the world" since it's inexpensive, mass produced and easy to store.
The WHO's Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization posted interim recommendations showing the vaccine is 63% effective overall.
