White House unveils $2.5B budget request for coronavirus

The White House yesterday sent lawmakers a $2.5 billion urgent budget request to combat the global spread of coronavirus.

The funds are earmarked for vaccines, treatment and protective equipment.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the funds are "long overdue” and “completely inadequate."
