America’s favorite fast food slider now comes in a meatless variety. White Castle officially put a veggie burger on its menu Tuesday.
Why serve veggie burgers at a restaurant known for one thing – the beef slider? Customers asked for the meatless alternative. CNNMoney reports the veggie patty itself is the Dr. Praeger's brand, which features whole vegetables, and it will be cooked on veggie burger-only grills and flipped with separate green spatulas.
The meatless wonder sells for 99 cents in New York City, slightly more than the original beef slider for 77 cents.
