Whirlpool is demanding that Sears give back its appliances as the retailer wades through bankruptcy.
Whirlpool, which makes appliances under Sears’ Kenmore brand, asked the department store chain to return all the products it received in the 45 days before the company filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 15.
Whirlpool’s attorney demanded that Sears “refrain from selling, disposing, or using … for any purpose whatsoever" the merchandise in a letter filed in court last week.
