Facebook-owned messaging service WhatsApp is being targeted by spyware.
Officials with the company confirmed the vulnerability of the app but did not name a perpetrator. The confirmation came after the Financial Times reported Israeli company NSO Group created malware that can intercept protected phone calls made on the app.
