Whataburger chain eyes northwest Arkansas

After recently touring two northwest Arkansas counties, privately owned hamburger chain Whataburger intends to break ground this month on a restaurant in Fayetteville.

Arkansas Business reports construction of a Rogers store would probably start a few weeks after that. Earlier this year, the San Antonio-based chain spent over $2.5 million on developing properties in Fayetteville and Rogers.

Arkansas Business says three more sites are in the works, possibly in Bentonville and Springdale.
