West Elementary School

Larry Snyder & Co. Inc. is the general contractor for Ozark R-VI School District’s West Elementary School. The 69,337-square-foot structure is Ozark’s fifth elementary school. Funding for the approximately $8.7 million school comes from a no-tax-increase $10 million bond measure approved by Ozark voters in April 2006. Marshall-Waters-Woody and Associates Inc. is the architect for the project. Engineers are JS Smith Consulting Engineers PC, structural; Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and Anderson Engineering Inc., civil. The school will provide more than 30 classrooms in four buildings. Also included are offices, a media center, cafeteria, kitchen and gymnasium. Completion is slated for August.
