Wentzville distributor leases Chrysler plant space

Posted online
Wentzville-based distribution company Wainwright Industries has agreed to lease more than 433,000 square feet of warehouse space vacated five years ago by Chrysler Group LLC, when it shut down its Fenton plant.

The lease agreement makes the 534,600-square-foot industrial building fully occupied.

Before Chrysler declared bankruptcy in 2009, it developed the warehouse in 2000 as a material supply building. Landlord Panattoni Development Co. acquired the property in 2012 and has since invested $5 million to modernize the space, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
