Wendy’s tops Q1 forecasts

Wendy’s Co. posted first-quarter earnings of $22.3 million.

On a per share basis, that came to 9 cents, beating analysts' expectations of 8 cents per share.

Revenue was $285.8 million, above expectations of $279.3 million.
