Wells Fargo lifts minimum pay for 25K workers

Wells Fargo officials yesterday said the company would raise the lowest starting hourly pay for new employees.

The new lowest starting pay will be $13.50, up from $12. The company's range for entry-level workers is now $13.50 to $17, compared with $12 to $16 before.

The move initially will affect more than 25,000 workers across the country.
