Wells Fargo is lending its mountain of cash

Wells Fargo thinks the economy is looking pretty good.
 
That's the message economists took from the firm's second-quarter earnings report released Friday, which showed strong loan and deposit growth, CNNMoney reports.
 
Wells Fargo, the nation's largest mortgage lender, has benefitted from the Federal Reserve's low mortgage rates. It doesn't rely on trading revenue, a business model that has gained fans with well-known investors, including Warren Buffet, the report states.
