Welcome to Isabel’s House

Posted online
Missouri First Lady Melanie Blunt and Gov. Matt Blunt, center, cut the ribbon at the June 25 dedication for Isabel’s House, Crisis Nursery of the Ozarks, with a little help from Springfield Mayor Tom Carlson, far right, and representatives of Junior League.

Melanie Blunt is the honorary chairwoman of the $1.3 million Isabel’s House, which will provide immediate refuge for children ages newborn through 12 years whose families are facing crisis situations that could result in abuse or neglect.

Isabel’s House is named for Isabel O’Reilly, who died in 1971 and was the wife of O’Reilly Automotive Inc. co-founder Chub O’Reilly. The O’Reilly and Wooten family foundations were lead donors for the project, with a $500,000 naming donation. [[In-content Ad]]
