Greenway Studios LLC held a ribbon-cutting Aug. 26 at the site of its new corporate office and Greenway Studios apartment complex, 940 E. Webster St., formerly the site of Timmons Temple. The 32,000-square-foot, 84-unit complex constructed by Larry Snyder & Co. was built at a cost of $4.1 million. The first of two buildings opened Aug. 13. Greene County’s Purchasing Department receives an honorary plaque Sept. 2 from U.S. Communities, a national government purchasing cooperative. Department Director Chris Mericle, second from right, said the staff was recognized for using contracts through the cooperative to reduce the county’s administrative costs and increase tax savings.
