Missouri Gov. Mike Parson makes his 2020 gubernatorial bid official Sept. 8 during an announcement event at Bolivar High School in his hometown. The Republican, who took over last year after Eric Greitens resigned, said Missouri has added over 35,000 jobs during his tenure, citing in-state investments by Bayer AG, CVS Health, Nucor Corp. and others. In August, Democrat Nicole Galloway, the current state auditor, announced her candidacy for the governor’s office.
