In his final State of the County address on Oct. 4, Greene County Presiding Commissioner Bob Cirtin speaks to the challenges the county faced over the past year, namely the passage of the general revenue sales tax. During the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s Good Morning Springfield breakfast at the Diamond Room, Cirtin also addressed construction of a new jail and funding to support mental health issues.

BCFO Blessings
Youngblood Auto Group officials on Sept. 24 present a $25,000 donation to Breast Cancer Foundation of the Ozarks. The funding is earmarked to help the nonprofit provide free screening mammograms for women who are uninsured or underinsured. Youngblood Auto Group has been a BCFO donor for more than a decade.
