Greene County Presiding Commissioner Bob Dixon addresses the crowd during an Oct. 24 open house for the county’s new operations center at 1210 Boonville Ave. The 17,500-square-foot structure was built by Branco Enterprises Inc. and designed by nForm Architecture LLC. Officials held a traditional cornerstone dedication with a color guard presentation from the Sons of the American Revolution and a ceremonial placement of the stone, along with items from each county officeholder as time capsule mementos.

Former CoxHealth President and CEO Bob Bezanson cuts the ribbon Oct. 17 on the Mid-America Transplant Gift of Life Family Room at Cox South Hospital. The private room is designated for families waiting through the transplant donation process. Bezanson is a former 30-year board member for Mid-America Transplant, and officials say the room is the first of its kind in the 84-county service area in Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas.

Toth and Associates Inc. founder Louis Toth receives the Jim McNabb Engineering Innovation Award on Oct. 3 at the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives annual meeting in Branson. The association annually recognizes an engineer whose work has enhanced the generation and transmission of electricity on the statewide rural electric grid.
