Ready, Set, Build

Ozarks Technical Community College officials, along with industry and community partners, break ground May 14 on the MHC Diesel Technician Training Center. Named after a lead donation by Murphy-Hoffman Co., the $2 million, 12,500-square-foot project is scheduled for completion by fall 2019. OTC expects to increase its diesel technician graduates by 50 percent with the expansion.

Drury University business major Chase Snider, above with his mom Christie, on May 13 completed 500 consecutive days of running to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. On the road to logging over 2,000 miles, Snider raised nearly $7,500. He catalogued the campaign on social media with the hashtag #ChaseRuns.
