U.S. Cellular optimization engineer Derek Kyle answers questions Feb. 24 at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Springfield Sertoma Unit during National Engineer Week activities. Students learned about career paths available with a technical or engineering education, and they interacted with cellphone technologies, including an engineering car for monitoring network functionality. Last year, U.S. Cellular donated $10,000 to the local Boys & Girls Clubs as part of a $52,500 gift throughout Missouri.
