O’Reilly Hospitality Management CEO Tim O’Reilly holds a March 21 news conference at Springfield First Community Bank, the financing arm for his family’s reportedly $60 million Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center in Denton, Texas. “This is one of the largest credits ever financed by a Springfield financial institution,” said bank CEO Rob Fulp. O’Reilly Hotel Partners-Denton LLC recently broke ground on the 318-suite hotel, an adjoining Houlihan’s restaurant and 70,000 square feet of convention space. The project is adjacent to Rayzor Ranch Town Center, a 600,000-square-foot open-air retail, dining and entertainment development.
Grooms Office Environments owner and CEO Jonathan Garard gets a surprise welcome from fellow Leadership Springfield class members who showed up at the group’s recent meeting wearing “Garard Strong” T-shirts. Garard’s brother, Jeremy, was critically injured Feb. 7 in a Santa Fe, N.M., skiing accident. A GoFundMe.com page, called “Jeremy’s Journey,” collected $47,736 toward its $200,000 goal as of March 24.
