Sarah Cunningham, superintendent of Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield, on May 28 shows U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Missouri, the park’s newly remodeled museum and visitor center. Blunt was in town to commemorate the reopening of the center after millions of dollars worth of renovations and expansions. The center welcomes guests to the 2,010-acre park.

Mayor Ken McClure on June 3 presents the annual State of the City address during the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce’s Good Morning, Springfield! event. Speaking at Evangel University’s Robert H. Spence Chapel, McClure outlined steps taken throughout the past year amid the coronavirus pandemic and charted the way forward as the city seeks to exit the worst of the virus.
