The local nonprofit offers free grief support services to children and their families following the death of loved ones, and it currently serves 250 individuals. The foundation’s contribution will help fund Lost & Found’s therapeutic support groups, which aim to prevent long-term problems such as depression, anxiety, academic and behavioral issues, and juvenile delinquency associated with unresolved grief. According to WaltonFamilyFoundation.org, the foundation invested $1.49 billion in 2010 for projects around the world that addressed social and environmental issues. Jim Walton, CEO of Arvest Bank, is the son of Wal-Mart Stores Inc. founder Sam Walton.
