Truck Training
Officials on Jan. 28 cut the ribbon on the new MHC Diesel Technician Training Center at Ozarks Technical Community College. The $2 million project was spearheaded by a $1 million matching grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce. At the 12,500-square-foot center, three truck bays and four classrooms with learning labs are available for students. The center is named after lead donor Murphy-Hoffman Co.
The first southwest Missouri location of EarthWise Pet, a national chain of pet supply stores, opened; Grey Oak Investments LLC relocated; and Hot Bowl by Everyday Thai LLC got its start.
