Springfield Public Schools Superintendent Norman Ridder on Feb. 1 accepts the Walmart Foundation’s $25,000 donation from Kedron Blecha, Walmart store manager at 1923 E. Kearney St. Blecha told the PTA Council at Truman Elementary that the foundation wanted to support the district’s efforts to ensure students are prepared for the 21st Century. The donation will be used to implement the Springfield Learning Model by funding the development of training videos for teachers.
