Golfing for Kids
Forty-nine children’s charities were the beneficiaries of $920,352 in funding distributed Nov. 28 by Price Cutter Charity Championship officials. The PGA Web.com Tour tournament – this year held in July at Highland Springs Country Club – now has distributed $15.6 million to local nonprofits since it started in 1990. The funds were issued during the McQueary family-hosted Celebration of Sharing event – which landed on Giving Tuesday – at the country club.

Springfield organizations are working to contribute funding and assistance to the Camp Fire area in northern California, where the most destructive wildfire in the state’s history has killed over 80 people. Missouri State University management and information technology students take home multiple awards during the Oct. 25-27 South Central U.S. Information Technology Collegiate Conference in Amarillo, Texas. MSU students had their best performance to date, with first-place wins in cybersecurity and troubleshooting.
