Missouri State University was honored by the U.S. Department of Defense for extraordinary support of employees who serve in the National Guard and reserves. Dubbed The Drive for Attendance, a 2019 Jeep Renegade will be given to one student in a friendly competition between the schools. “It’s all about attendance,” Widiger told the students. Qualifying students can only miss up to four days of school this year, and of those names, 10 each will be chosen in Nixa and Ozark. One name out of the 20 will be chosen at random in May.
