Drury University senior Kevin Liles prepares compounds for characterizing in a nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometer, part of undergraduate studies in the prehealth sciences program funded by a $14,000 grant from the Smith-Glynn-Callaway Medical Foundation. Received in May, the typical $10,000 annual grant was greater this year to fund summer program research of anti-cancer agents at the university under the direction of associate professor of chemistry Madhuri Manpadi.
