Battlefield resident and Ozarks Technical Community College student Kodi Jones and Guaranty Bank Chief Financial Officer Carter Peters stand next to Jones’ fully restored 1970 Ford Mach 1 Mustang made possible by the bank and Make-A-Wish Missouri. Jones was diagnosed with lymphoma two years ago. He received the car March 28, the week following his 19th birthday. Car-Fi and Springfield’s Perfect Tint, as well as PS Restorations in Camdenton, donated time and services towards restoring the car.

A pallet of eggs from Opal Foods is unloaded at the O’Reilly Center for Hunger Relief. Neosho-based Opal Foods, a franchisee of Eggland’s Best, donated 151,200 eggs March 31 to Ozarks Food Harvest. Food bank officials say fresh eggs, prized for their dense nutritional value and high-protein content, are among the most difficult items for food banks to acquire.
