Nine months after receiving a green light from Springfield City Council, The Trolley Bike made its maiden voyage through downtown Springfield during the April 1 First Friday Art Walk. The 2,000-pound human-powered trolley bike sported some familiar faces, including Jeff Seifried, CEO of the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau, giving a thumbs up and Buck Van Hooser, an account executive with E.W. Scripps Co., in the driver’s seat. The BYOB party bike seats 14 and will officially launch April 15.

The entrepreneurial community-building event moved April 6 after meeting its first two years at The eFactory business incubator downtown. Organizers say roughly 300 people were on hand to hear presentations by Hudson Hawk Barber & Shop and The eFactory.
