Web site tracks Missouri's federal stimulus funds

Missouri State Auditor Susan Montee has unveiled a Web site that will track federal stimulus money as it's deposited and disbursed through the Missouri Treasury.

The site features a listing of agencies receiving federal stimulus dollars and the amounts they receive. E-mail alerts also are available to let subscribers know when stimulus funds have been received and distributed.

"The state auditor's office is Missouri's official watchdog agency," Montee said in a news release. "With an additional $4 billion coming into Missouri from the federal government, it is more important than ever for transparency to exist for Missouri citizens."
