Wayne LaPierre re-elected as NRA leader

Amid internal turmoil at the gun rights organization, the National Rifle Association's board re-elected Wayne LaPierre as executive vice president and CEO.

Board member Carolyn Meadows was elected as the next president.

Over the weekend, NRA President Oliver North abruptly announced he would not seek re-election and warned of a "crisis" at the NRA due to financial misconduct allegations.
