The Watershed Committee of the Ozarks Inc. Board of Directors late last month named Mike Kromrey its executive director.
Kromrey succeeds Loring Bullard, who retired in December after 22 years with the organization, according to a news release.
Kromrey has worked with the Watershed Committee for six years, most recently as its education/outreach coordinator. He also has served as co-chairman of the Natural Environment Committee for the city of Springfield's Strategic Plan and as a member of the Springfield/Greene County Environmental Advisory Board.
Kromrey also worked with the James River Basin Partnership, the Missouri Department of Conservation and Missouri State University while attending the school, where he earned a biology degree with an emphasis in ecology, evolution and systematics.
The nonprofit Watershed Committee focuses on the preservation and improvement of Springfield and Greene County water supplies through education and management of the region's resources, the release said.[[In-content Ad]]
