Washington University will host a debate between next year’s presidential hopefuls on Oct. 9, 2016.
University officials announced last week the St. Louis school has hosted more debates than any other institution. The Commission on Presidential Debates has now selected Washington University to host the event six times since 1992, with only the 1996 debate between President Bill Clinton and challenger Bob Dole cancelled.
As with previous debates, 2016’s discussion will be held at the Washington University Athletics Complex. Tickets will be assigned through the CPD with any tickets distributed by the university made available to full-time students through a lottery, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
