Washington University dean faces child porn charge

Posted online
The former dean of students at St. Louis-based Washington University has been indicted on a federal child pornography charge, according to The Associated Press.

Citing the U.S. attorney's office in St. Louis, The AP reports Justin Carroll, 67, of University City, could face up to 20 years in prison if he’s convicted of the charge of access with intent to view child pornography.

Carroll, who also was interim athletic director at Washington University, earlier this month cited personal reasons for retiring. Officials have not uncovered any wrongdoing related to his duties at the university.

Using the alias "MOperv," Carroll was caught with videos of prepubescent boys, according to the indictment.
