Washington Post replaces executive editor

Sally Buzbee, executive editor of The Washington Post, has been replaced.

The Post announced Matt Murray, former editor in chief of The Wall Street Journal, would immediately take over for Buzbee as executive editor.

Murray is slated to hold the executive editor role through the 2024 president election. After that, Murray would transition to overseeing the formation of a service and social media newsroom at The Post, while Robert Winnett, deputy editor of The Telegraph Media Group, would become editor.
